Alright if you have read our post eating at Disney World's Hollywood Studios, you know what we are doing here. Animal Kingdom has a vast variety of unique eats and treats for us to try, so without further ado lets get into the park and EAT SOME FOOD!
The Set Up
Alright before heading into the park for the Animal Kingdom #foodchallenge, we need to save some money. Go to your local Target, Walmart or Sam's Club and get yourself a gift card pack that saves you some money! Disney food isn't the cheapest so every little bit counts.
Breakfast - Pongu Lumpia
One of the first rides to try for standby is the Pandora ride Flight of Passage. As soon as you get out the ride get a the Pongu Lumpia at the Pongu Pongu lounge. This is such an easy pickup due to its size and walkability. (is that a word?) Well once you grab your lumpia you can walk around the park eating this semi sweet, creamy, pineapple-y wrap to your next destination.
A Classic ... but for adults? -
Dole Whip with a little something something
Animal Kingdom has Dole Whip! They sure do, but if you wanted to kick it up a little bit, try it with a shot o' rum. How About That! Yes the classic treat gets a grownup remix with a shot of rum. This almost becomes a pina colada ISH treat. There is a trick to this treat though. The shot slumps to the bottom so don't forget to mix it up before you drink it up.
Finishing Up The Day
The rest of the day was amazing. We had an awesome assortment of sweet and savory shareables that kept us energized and excited for our next ride or food venture. So if you want to see what else we ate in Animal Kingdom check out our video below!
