Mickey's 90th Birthday | How To Make Oreo Truffles, Oreo Pancakes, & Oreo Krispies

Updated: Sep 27, 2019

In honor of Mickey's 90th birthday, we used limited edition Mickey Mouse birthday cake Oreos in 3 delicious desserts. Here are 3 easy recipes on how to make Oreo truffles, Oreo pancakes, and Oreo Krispies.

No Bake Oreo Truffles

Ingredients

8 oz softened cream cheese

1 package of melted chocolates (or 2 different kinds if you want to drizzle)

Directions

  1. Crush oreos with a blender or food processor to desired consistency (if you don’t have either, you can put the oreos in a ziploc & crush with a hammer, rolling pin, or the bottom of a bowl). We kept some chucks in ours which was still really good!

  2. Transfer crushed oreos into a large bowl

  3. Add softened cream cheese to the same bowl and mix thoroughly. You may have to use your hands to mix it well.

  4. Once mixed, put into the fridge for 30-60 minutes until firm.

  5. After letting the mixture set in the fridge, add parchment paper onto a baking pan. Using a tablespoon, measure out the oreos evenly and roll them into balls placing them onto the parchment paper.

  6. Place baking pan into the freezer for 30-60 minutes to let the balls set.

  7. Right before taking out your mixture from the freezer, melt your chocolate using a double boiler or microwave. If you use a double boiler, keep stirring to prevent your chocolate from burning. If you use a microwave, do it in 10-20 second intervals & stir in between intervals so your chocolate doesn’t burn.

  8. Take out oreos from the freezer & using 2 spoons, roll them into the chocolate until well coated. Place back onto parchment paper.

  9. Place truffles into the fridge for another 10-15 minutes until chocolate coating is set. *Bonus: add sprinkles on top before chocolate sets to make them more fun! Or drizzle a different kind of chocolate on top for different patterns.

  10. Take them out of the fridge when you’re ready to serve. :)

Oreo Krispies

Ingredients

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

Directions

  1. Put the oreos in a ziploc & crush with a hammer, rolling pin, or the bottom of a bowl. Make sure to keep chucks in it!

  2. Heat a pan on medium heat and add the butter. Melt the butter all the way.

  3. Add marshmallows and melt thoroughly. Keep stirring so that it doesn't burn.

  4. Turn off heat and add Oreos. Stir thoroughly.

  5. Grab a container, spray it or grease it with oil, and add Oreo mixture. Put in the fridge for 30-60 minutes or until set (or if you're impatient like us, put in the freezer).

  6. Once set, cut into even pieces. Enjoy!

Oreo Pancakes

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Use a large bowl (for when you add the Oreo) and follow instructions on the pancake box.

  2. Add Oreos into the batter, breaking them apart with your hands. Mix batter thoroughly. Add as many Oreos as you would like!

  3. Heat a pan on medium heat. Use spray oil and coat the pan.

  4. Add 1/4 cup of batter onto the pan for Mickey's head. Make smaller circles for Mickey's ears! Cook both sides until light brown.

  5. Cool off pancakes before assembling. Use the larger pancake as Mickey's head and smaller ones for his ears. Decorate however you'd like!

  6. *Feel free to add fruit, syrup, or nuts, and enjoy!
